Creamy Parmesan Dressing Recipe

For several months I’ve been making my own salad dressing. I prefer to make my own so we can avoid industrial oils, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and preservatives. Making salad dressing is so cheap and easy, and you are only limited by your creativity!

This is one of my families very favorite salad dressings. Even Luke, who doesn’t typically like creamy salad dressings, really enjoys this parmesan dressing recipe.

Ingredients:

1 cup mayonaise (preferably homemade)

1/2 cup sour cream

2 Tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon minced garlic

3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning*

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

*You can find Tony’s in the spice aisle of most grocery stores. You could probably substitute season salt for this, but I don’t recommend it! Just put it on your next grocery list so you can make the recipe correctly :)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Use milk or water to thin the dressing to your liking.

If you want to make a truly fabulous salad I suggest salad greens topped with cucumbers, grape tomatoes, crumbled bacon, sliced avocado, sunflower seeds, and finished with this delectable creamy parmesan dressing. It’s a glorious combination!

  1. I’m in love with you, you must know that!! It grates on my last nerve when I go to someone’s house and they bring out bottled dressing full of “nasties”. This recipe is going on my list of “make now” because I love creamy parmesean and I make my own mayo. Sounds like a match made in heaven.

I hope you enjoy the recipe! It really is one of my favorites. I find, you can’t hardly go wrong making your own salad dressing. Cheaper, tastier, healthier and super easy :) .
