The Best eBook Bundle Sale Ever. Seriously.

This sale is now over.

I love that card in Monopoly that says, “Bank error in your favor. Collect $100.”

When I look at this eBundle sale going on right now, it reminds me of that. It makes me think somebody didn’t do the math right on this one. How can I get more than $700 worth of stuff for $29.97?

Learn more in this short video my wife made. (Isn’t she crafty?)

We’re honored to be asked to include our Write Through the Bible curriculum in this eBundle next to so many great ebooks, curriculum, and ecourses.

As you can see, there are a ton of resources in this. Of course, I don’t plan on using all of these books, but if you plan on using even a tenth of them, you save money (not to mention all of the bonus offers that we’re totally psyched about).

You can buy the bundle right now, or get a complete list of all the stuff in the bundle.

Can Humans Digest Meat?

You often hear in the vegetarian world that humans can’t digest meat. Is it true that human bodies do not have the enzymes and make up to properly break down and utilize meat? Are we better suited to vegetables and grains? This is a fascinating post addressing just this issue.

I won’t give away the ending…you’ll have to go read and find out for yourself!

The Great Tragedy of the 2012 Election

For the 58 million Americans who voted for Mitt Romney, many of these would say the greatest tragedy of the election was the reelection of Barak Obama. To 48% of the voters in Maryland, many of these might say the great tragedy of the election was the legalization of same sex marriage.

But Garrett Kell of The Gospel Coalition says the greatest tragedy of the election is that roughly 33 million would-be voters, men and women who would have been 18-39 years old today, have been murdered between 1973 to 1994. That’s how many babies were aborted in those years.

Thinking About Aslan and Jesus with C. S. Lewis

I loved reading The Chronicles of Narnia to Bradley. I look forward to reading these books to my other children. One of the reasons I love these books—probably the main reason—is because of the character of Aslan.

This post from the Gospel Coalition brings out and excerpt from Louis Markos’ book A to Z With C. S. Lewis concerning Lewis’ thoughts on Aslan and Jesus. It is very insightful and will really help parents to put the world of Narnia in context for their kids.

I was reminded of letter C.S. Lewis wrote to an inquiring 11-year-old girl after the publication of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. This girl wrote Lewis a letter asking what Aslan’s name is in this world was. His response was this:

As to Aslan’s other name, well I want you to guess. Has there never been anyone in this world who (1.) Arrived at the same time as Father Christmas. (2.) Said he was the son of the great Emperor. (3.) gave himself up for someone else’s fault to be jeered at and killed by wicked people. (4.) Came to life again. (5.) Is sometimes spoken of as a Lamb…. Don’t you really know His name in this world. Think it over and let me know your answer!

10 Questions a Pro-Choice Candidate Is Never Asked by the Media

This post by Trevin Wax at The Gospel Coalition presents 10 well-worded questions that he wishes media outlets would ask pro-choice candidates. All the questions are designed to allow for critical examination of the pro-choice position. I enjoyed this article because these are the sort of exercises ethical debates are made of. They force a person to examine the underpinnings of their own position (something we all should do).

The Wife of Influence: 13 Wives in 13 Days….Wives of the Bible Series

This is a fantastic blog series idea. Jolene, from The Alabaster Jar, is writing a series on 13 wives in the Bible and what we can learn from them. In this first post, Jolene introduces the notorious Eve.

“She frustrates me to no end. I know no one is perfect, but come on now, when was the last time you took counsel from a….. Snake!  Really, a snake? This woman needs no introduction because we all know she is Eve. She’s THE woman who caused the fall of mankind because she was deceived.”

Want to read more? Go check out Jolene’s blog and read the words of challenge and encouragement she gives to wives in this post. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the posts in this series!

How to Host a Reformation Day Celebration

Gena, from IChooseJoy.org, shares her Reformation Day celebration ideas. I had never even thought of having a Reformation Day party, but what a cool idea! In case you wondered, Reformation Day is October 31st.

We hope you enjoy one or more of these posts as much as we did!
